Hello Darling Beings,

This week I nested in Taos to meet the 40th birthday of Meghan* (6/14), and yesterday marks two months from the 40th of me (8/15). Catalyzed as much by these little milestones as by the vast happenings of the world, I’m thinking continuously about the wildness of time. Time in general, and time in our particular now, so full of fractures yet so calling for connections.

Imagining the seasons ahead, here and abroad, it would feel vitalizing to ground into a simple, spacious, and reciprocal exchange with you, most inspiring collaborators and teachers from over the years. (Not about the milestones, but simply with them as impetus.) I hope it would feel heartening for you too.

If so, between now and August 1, you’re invited to send me the digital record(s) — image, text, audio, video, etc. — of a creative work, existing or new, that feels like a loving meditation- dream- action- offering- to this moment we’re all living in.

I’ll weave what I receive together, and the collected works will become a kind of quilt, artists' book, web-based zine. The digital format means you can participate with most any type of art/work/documentation: image, film, audio, video, poem, essay, letter, story, recipe, blueprint, spell, song, score, mix, podcast, and/or other.

Named Vital Journal: Odes to Time Love Peace Wonder, our collaborative volume will be released in August, openly accessible online to us and to share with our dear ones. Further details are in the sending portal. Thank you for your consideration — and for your profoundly nourishing presence in my life.

With love to you and yours,

xx
